What is your role at Mainstay?

As part of the Security Operations (SOC) team, I work to ensure the safety of our client’s data from malicious actors. We perform security audits to determine any vulnerabilities and secure client resources. Lastly, I assist the team with proactive monitoring client’s backup, storage, and virtualization configuration for changes.

What professional events do you participate in, or what skills or accomplishments have you attained, that sets you apart?

To better myself I continue to learn from the team as well as study and perform certifications. The most recent certification that I achieved was the Security +.

What was your first memory of using computers?

When I was five years old I went into my father’s office to see what he was up to. I decided it would be a good idea to press the power button on his Windows 98 desktop. From that point on my father decided to teach my about computers and technology. Since then my passion for technology has never ceased.

When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…

I enjoy spending time with my immediate family and going on walks, hikes, watching movies and playing video games. We always look forward to spending time with our family and friends, and traveling.

What was the last great book you read?

Level 4 Virus Hunters of the CDC was an enjoyable read during this time. I highly recommend it for those who are interested in how the CDC operates for detecting and attempting to prevent contagions.

What is something unique about you?

I attended college in Warner, NH and upon graduating received a Bachelor of Arts degree for liberal arts with a concentration in Political Science.

If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and why would you go there?

I have never been to Asia before and I think it would be an unforgettable experience. Ever since my comparative culture class in college, I have been intrigued by the fascinating culture, food and places that compose Asia today.

What are you most frequently heard listening to?

During my morning commute, I can often be heard listening to Beethoven’s Symphonies or one of George Winston’s albums. By lunch time I am listening to various film scores, Tron Legacy, Star Trek, Star Wars or Pacific Rim, to name a few. Finally, in the evening I relax to the songs of Frank Sinatra, or listen to a medley of jazz music.

What is one thing you love about your career?

The spectrum for technology is changing every day and it impacts the lives of many people. I enjoy assisting others to understand technology and tap into it as a powerful to create, collaborate, and enjoy.
