What is your role at Mainstay?
My job is to be the roadie to the client’s rock show. Keeping the show going so that the client can do what they do best.
What was your first memory of using computers?
My first experience with a computer as a Windows 95 machine when I was a child. The machine was slow, I did not have internet, but there was a virtual globe software that gave me a sense of how mind blowing computers are.
When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…
Attending the occasional metal show, or traveling around the north east!
What was the last great book you read?
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. He creates this coherent way of experiencing ancient Norse Mythological poems that allowed me to really experience the rich lore of the Vikings.
What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?
Put more time into experiencing new hobbies, or possibly sneak in a nap!
If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and why would you go there?
I would have to go to either Japan/ South Korea for sheer culture shock or a place like New Zealand/ Iceland for the fantasy-esque landscapes.
What are you most frequently heard listening to?
I tend to listen to a lot of metal (Devin Townsend, Within the Ruins), with the occasional splash of 80’s synthwave (Lazerhawk, Megadrive).
What is one thing you love about your career?
I love the challenges that make me take my skill set and evolve them to adapt to the ever-changing world of technology.
What is one thing everyone should know about Mainstay Technologies?
From day one, I have been treated like I’ve been part of the team for years. They told me that everyone was helpful and friendly, but I was not prepared for just how true that really was!
