I grew up in Allenstown, New Hampshire and after I got married I moved to Auburn, New Hampshire
What is your role at Mainstay?
I am a member of the Response Services Team and take care of problems that our clients experience.
What are your technology specialties?
I have accumulated a wide variety of skills over the years. Some of my experiences have been as an administrator working with Unix/Linux and Windows and as a database administrator for Oracle and SQL servers. I’ve also worked on phone systems, networks, PLCs and Ladder Logic to control automated equipment.
What was your first memory of using computers?
I remember my first calculator in high school – much easier than a slide rule. In 1984 I built my first PC clone and thought, who would ever need more than 20 megabytes of hard disk!
When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…?
I try to golf a few times a week and I spend time with my kids when they have time for me. I enjoy trying new restaurants and going out with friends.
What was the last great book you read?
I’m not much of a book reader, probably the last thing I read was the Harry Potter Series.
What is something unique about you?
I like to learn new things on my own. I find I learn faster and remember more of it.
What is a silly or interesting event that you’ve participated in previously, and what did you take away from the experience?
I went to the William Shatner night in Concord, New Hampshire, and watched “The Wrath of Kahn” with the Trekkies and listened to William Shatner talk about his life.
What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?
I would be golfing more.
If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be & what would you do (or why would you do it)?
I would go to Aruba for the month and sit by the pool or beach and go to the casinos and leave my phone at home…
What are you most frequently heard listening to?
I listen to classic rock on the radio or ‘60s, ‘70s music.
Favorite sports teams?
New England Patriots is the only sports team I watch.
What is one thing you love about your career?
I love teaching people how to do things that they thought they couldn’t do or understand.
What is one thing everyone should know about Mainstay Technologies?
In the few days I’ve been here, I’d have to say everyone is very friendly and committed to their jobs.
