I currently live in Deerfield, and own a few acres of land, which really makes me enjoy living in good old New Hampshire!
What are your technology specialties?
I’ve spent the last 20 years working across several MSPs in the NH and MA markets. It’s amazing how fast Technology has changed over those years. My philosophy has always been that no issue is too large, and as importantly, no task is too small. I do have a love for technology, but it’s the people I meet and work with that I truly enjoy!
What was your first memory of using computers?
I remember getting a hand-me-down NEC 286 in the 90’s. I was able to bring it back to life using some parts I found from other broken machines, and although it didn’t last very long before I had to move to something a bit newer, my interest in computers is lasting much longer than that NEC 286 did!
When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…
Spending time with my family, usually doing something outdoors. Our outdoor activities typically change with the season. My son and I are avidly engaged in the shooting sports all year but some of the seasonal things we enjoy are making maple syrup, snow shoeing, fly fishing and fly tying, gardening, hunting, and hiking. I enjoy working with my hands and like to wood work as well.
What was the last great book you read?
The latest book I read was “African Experience”, by Craig Boddington. I have always wanted to visit Africa and experience a true African safari. This book delves into the ins and outs of the safari industry, and has continued to kindle my interest for exploring the African wilderness. I have also enjoyed reading many “how-to” books, which are not only fun to read, but also help me learn some useful skills in the process!
What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?
If I had an extra 5 hours every week, I’d definitely squeeze in more reading. Most of my reading time is spent catching up on technology, researching methods for projects, etc.. I’d also spend more quality time with my son, and a bit more time trying to tire out our energetic Yellow Labrador Retriever, Boone.
If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and what would you do (or why would you do it)?
You guessed it! – It would definitely be an African safari! I would love to take a full month to travel to Southern Africa and join a group to tour, hunt, sight-see, taste the food, and appreciate the culture while I’m down there too. I have heard many amazing things, and I sure hope it lives up to the expectation!
What are you most frequently heard listening to?
My music tastes change by the day. Sometimes it’s nice to just put on the radio and listen to whatever is on at the moment for some white noise, although the sound of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the wind is often my favorite music. On the other hand, some days I find that silence is all the music I need!
