What is your role at Mainstay?

Through great customer service I help our clients solve a variety of problems and make their lives easier with technology.

What was your first memory of using computers?

My first memory of using a computer was when my Dad brought home a Macintosh Classic II. We played Microsoft Flight Simulator. I was hooked and begged for a computer of my own for 3 or 4 years. My parents finally relented and they got me a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 3.1.

When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…

I love to go backpacking, especially in New Hampshire. Because of its beauty, being in the mountains is my favorite thing. I enjoy going places not many people have had the opportunity to see.

What was the last great book you read?

“Lord of the Rings” by JRR Tokien would have to be the best in my opinion. I enjoyed the LOTR Trilogy because of the expansive world Tolkien created.

What is a silly or interesting event that you’ve participated in previously, and what did you take away from it?

I hiked 800 miles of the Appalachian trail with my border collie Gus from March to June 2013. Being on the trail for 94 days really showed me how much I take for granted. Running water is a magical thing.

If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and why would you go there?

I would really like to complete the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. It would take around 5 months. I have wanted to complete the AT ever since my first backpacking trip when I was 10 years old.

What are you most frequently heard listening to?

Most commonly I am found listening to podcasts.

What is your favorite sports team?

I am a fan of any Boston team!

What is one thing you love about your career?

Troubleshooting computer issues is like a puzzle and there is always something new to be learned. A career in IT has plenty to love.

What is one thing that everyone should know about Mainstay?

When I walked through the door for my first interview I was immediately impressed with everyone’s dedication and focus on being great at customer service. Now that I am part of the team I realize it isn’t just customer service that Mainstay is great at. We form great relationships with clients and each other and that is what makes Mainstay so special.
