Born in Cincinnati, OH, grew up in Franklin, NH, and have happily settled in Laconia, NH.
What is your role at Mainstay?
My job is to ensure that Mainstay’s clients receive a world-class, Mainstay-level of quality service from the time we begin the partnership all the way through to when the relationship is many years old. It is our mission to always “give more than we get,” and that means always seeking to provide technology services with as much emphasis on service as on technology!
What professional events do you participate in, or what skills or accomplishments have you attained, that set you apart?
In addition to being involved with a number of area Chambers of Commerce, and haveing served as a board member for organizations, such as the Belknap Independent Business Alliance and the Laconia Muskrats, I’ve had the privilege of being a part of Leadership Greater Concord, Leadership Lakes Region, and Leadership New Hampshire. I’m also an active member of St. André Bessette Parish in Laconia.
When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…
Spending time with my beautiful wife, Tiffany, and my six children, Matthew, Annalise, Lorelei, Rosemary, Felicity, and Nathan.
What was the last great book you read?
“Deep Work” by Cal Newport. The book explores the pervasive challenge in modern life of many, many distractions, and how to overcome them in order to truly do the deepest, most valuable work that takes sustained attention and significant focus. Highly recommended!
If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and why would you go there?
I would love to tour Jerusalem, Rome, and the other central locations of the early Christian church.
What are you most frequently heard listening to?
Audiobooks! And sports radio has been making an appearance lately, as well. As far as music goes, though, I love the Beatles, Ben Folds, and Waterdeep, to name a few. And when I have the time to listen to longer works, I enjoy Rachmaninoff piano concertos, Chopin pieces, and anything by J.S. Bach, but not as often as I’d like!
What is your favorite sports team?
The Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics, of course!
What is one thing you love about your career?
I think it’d be hard to find another business, let alone another IT firm, that functions with a higher degree of honesty and integrity than Mainstay Technologies. I have never seen a corporate culture as highly dedicated to always doing what is best for the client, regardless of the consequences for the company. I think it is this unfailing commitment to always doing the right thing that has generated so much trust and good will amongst our clients, and is much of what accounts for our success as a company.
