Nate Dubia

Hometown?

I grew up in and around the Tilton-Northfield area and attended school in the Winnisquam School District.

What is your role at Mainstay?

I travel around to different clients sites, meeting and working with them to fulfill a variety of needs. Sometimes it’s a new system setup or replacement, sometimes it’s troubleshooting issues that require a physical presence.

What professional events do you participate in, or what skills or accomplishments have you attained, that sets you apart?

I graduated from Lakes Region Community College in 2012. I am almost finished with another degree in Networking through NHTI in Concord.

When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…?

Probably hiking or doing something outside. I ski and occasionally snowboard during the winter, and just recently learned to water ski last summer. I’m at my happiest up on a mountain or out on a lake.

What was the last great book you read?

A lot of text books and exam crams over the last few years. The last book I really remember reading all the way through would probably be Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. I have a stack of books growing by the day that I would like to get caught up on.

If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be & what would you do (or why would you do it)?

I would probably drive out west and do a road trip visiting friends and family. Starting in Seattle and working down through Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado with plenty of exploring and sight-seeing throughout. I enjoy photography and there’s just so many awesome landscapes out west I’d really like to see.

What are you most frequently heard listening to?

I’m all over the place when it comes to music, which is a huge part of my life. I play guitar and have been messing around a bit with digital music production. Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Brand New, Gorillaz, Run the Jewels, and Queens of the Stoneage all frequent my commutes. I’ve been getting into some rap recently, and even a little country here and there.

What is one thing you love about your career?

A big reason I became interested in Information Technology is the wide variety of possible careers and topics that fall under it. There’s always going to be something new to learn about or check out.

What is one thing everyone should know about Mainstay Technologies?

Everyone involved is just incredibly passionate about their roles in the company and awesome to work with as a team. Everyone is so caring when it comes to the clients and fellow team members. I think we all just really want to see each other grow as professionals and be the best that we can be.
