Hometown?
I grew up in Concord, New Hampshire and lived there for most of my life. I’ve recently moved to Manchester and I really like it!
What are your technology specialties?
I am currently studying at NHTI (Concord’s Community College), where I am learning about networking through Cisco’s Networking Academy.
What professional events do you participate in, or what skills or accomplishments have you attained, that sets you apart?
I recently acquired my CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) and plan furthering my training by getting my CCNA.
What was your first memory of using computers?
My first memory of using computers is receiving a used Apple II desktop from a relative. I played all kinds of games and painted pictures using the paint program. Eventually, I got my own Windows PC, which I ended up frying in an attempt to overclock the CPU.
When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…
When I am not in front of a computer I am enjoying the outdoors or doing some sort of physical activity. I have been trying to hike all of NH’s 4,000 footers (I’ve done 3 so far), and when the cold winter months roll around, I’m ready to break out the skis!
What are you most frequently heard listening to?
I am most frequently heard listening to a wide variety of music. I grew up in a family of musicians, so I listen to everything ranging from Classical to Classic Rock to Metal.
Favorite sports teams?
My favorite sports team is the Celtics! I love watching basketball, and they’ve been exciting to watch the past few years. Of course, I like watching the Patriots and Red Sox too! We’ve been awfully spoiled as New England sports fans for quite a few years now, so I’m enjoying it while it lasts!
What is one thing you love about your career?
I enjoy seeing how different kinds of local businesses function and understanding each organization’s unique IT problems, and how to solve them. I learn something new every day!
