CMMC Registered Practitioner Hometown?

Springfield, Massachusetts

What is your role at Mainstay?

As the Director of Information Security Program Management, I am responsible for ensuring that our Information Security Program offerings (which include Consulting, Compliance, Risk and Security Assessments and Continuous monitoring – to name a few) are effective, efficient and valuable to our clients. I work with our clients directly on evaluating, supporting and improving their information security programs. I am also part of a cross-functional team within Mainstay that manages and oversees our Information Security posture.

What skills or accomplishments have you attained that sets you apart?

I earned a Master’s Degree in Business from the Citadel. I volunteer for Tech Women/Tech Girls (part of the New Hampshire Tech Alliance) and I am working on my CISM and CISSP certifications.

In addition, I earned the Registered Practitioner designation from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Advisory Board (CMMC-AB), which allows me to work with our clients in the Department of Defense supply chain as they work towards CMMC compliance.

What was your first memory of using computers?

It was a Commodore 64 – right behind the burnt orange couch in our living room… also AOL dial up and anxiously waiting to see if “You’ve Got Mail”!

When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…

Spending time with family, at the gym, cooking, or taking my kids to sports practice!

What was the last great book you read?

“The Huntress” (which is the sequel to the Alice Network) by Kate Quinn. I am a fan of historic fiction these days!

What is something unique about you?

I like to knit. It’s a skill that I recently acquired and was inspired by my grandmother. It has an interestingly calming affect once you get the hang of it.

What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?

Spend more time with my kids/family – hiking, boating, exploring NH!

If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and why would you go there?

I would probably go to Australia/New Zealand and Asia. I would love to experience those cultures with my kids and explore everything those countries have to offer. I think it would be a great learning opportunity for all of us!

What are you most frequently heard listening to?

I love upbeat music from any era – 60’s to today. Anything I can sing to and has a good beat! I try not to sing out loud for the benefit of my family and co-workers, but I am a rock star in my car!

Favorite sports team?

New England Patriots and any team my kids are playing on.

What is one thing you love about your career?

The thing that I love most about my career is the variety of work, the fast pace of the industry and the ability to continuously learn new things. I love to solve problems creatively and think outside the box and my career allows me to be creative and collaborate with great people!
