Tim FlightWhat is your role at Mainstay?

My role is to help with the smaller proactive projects and maintenance appointments. I am responsible for the combination of both on-site visits and remote work to free up time for Response Services and System Administrators.

What was the last great book you read?

The last GREAT book I’ve read was Go Dog Go. It was written and illustrated by P.D. Eastman in the early 1960’s and really captivates the reader. It’s truly a must read for people who love dogs.

What is a silly or interesting event that you’ve participated in previously, and what did you take away from it?

Something silly, possibly dumb, that I have done is shark diving with Great Whites. I took away a huge appreciation for what they can do as well as an understanding that they’re basically a bus that moves like a Bugatti.

If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be and why would you go there?

I would go to Australia and New Zealand. I lived in Australia for 6 months with a host family and would love to visit them again. I’d like to take my wife and show her around, then visit the Great Barrier Reef. Lastly, I’d go to New Zealand and sky dive or bungee jump or something of that nature.

What is one thing you love about your career?

I love that technology is an ever-changing field. It’s nearly impossible for a company to be successful if they’re stagnant, but I feel with technology that’s even more apparent. Just means that you’re always learning and adapting.

What is one thing that everyone should know about Mainstay?

This seems to be the general answer, but after being here I realize why everyone responds the same. The team attitude here is amazing. It’s not just the division/group you’re in, everyone seems to have the same mentality and appreciate the people they work with. You might not work with everyone, but it’s easy to approach anyone in the office with a question.
