What was your first memory of using computers?

My dad bought a Mac Classic in 1990 when I was a toddler, and I remember playing Hangman and Duck Hunt quite frequently in my earliest years. Proof of this exists in perpetuity in the form of a home VHS recording that is funny to watch.

When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…?

Spending time with my incredible partner, Jared. We enjoy kayaking, biking, swimming (Squam Lake is my favorite place), cross-country skiing, and when inside, we enjoy reading, cooking, and learning new things together. Right now, we’re working together to create an automated irrigation system using Raspberry Pi and tubing so we can ensure we keep our house plants well hydrated.

What was the last great book you read?

Currently, I’m finishing book number fifteen of a sixteen-book high fantasy series called The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. I cannot fully express how much these books mean to me, and just how much they have changed my life. Highly recommended!

I was the only girl in the Chess Club in sixth grade.

What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?

With an extra 5 hours in the week, I would use that time to study, read, and exercise.

If you could go anywhere for an entire month, where would it be & what would you do (or why would you do it)?

In June 2021, I traveled to Medellin, Colombia for two weeks and I would love to return to that stunning city to spend more time with our friends there. I also have a great desire to visit Barcelona, Spain.
