I am the treasurer for the New Hampshire Society for Technology in Education. I have also attended Leadership Lakes Region.
What was your first memory of using computers?
In 1982 you could go to a little company on Tenney Mountain Highway in Plymouth and take “computer lessons”. Logo and BASIC were the two languages that were popular at the time. I preferred BASIC. Not long after I was lucky enough to purchase an Apple IIe. I purchased several programming books and played a lot of Lode Runner.
When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…?
I enjoy running, biking, gardening, and relaxing by a campfire on Fridays after work.
What was the last great book you read?
I hate to admit it – I’m currently a John Grisham fanatic. He has a way of reeling me in and he tells a captivating story.
What is a silly or interesting event that you’ve participated in previously, and what did you take away from the experience?
A few years ago some of my co-workers persuaded me to enter a contest for the ‘All Women, One Lucky Guy’ half-marathon in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Guess what – I WON! I ended up running and by being the only male I was treated like a celebrity all day. What did I take away? Hmmm – I’d like to think I’m humble but I really think I could handle the celebrity lifestyle!
What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?
Spend all of it with family.
What are you most frequently heard listening to?
I’m a Sirius XM junkie. I typically switch between Outlaw Country, the Big 80s, and Classic Rewind.
Favorite sports teams?
Laconia High School Girls Volleyball. I was formerly the varsity coach for LHS Girls Volleyball Team and I love this team. Go Sachems!!!
What is one thing you love about your career?
I love technical project management. I thrive upon analyzing all the facets of a project, finding the correct resources, handling the problems, and then assembling everything together into one big, fully functioning system.
