Ian DeRego

Hometown?

Born and raised in Derry, NH!

What are your technology specialties?

I try to keep myself varied, but I have a particular fondness for networking and routing.

What was your first memory of using computers?

My dad used to let me pretend to type on an old word processor of his when I was 2. When I turned 4, he gave me my own computer – a blueberry iMac with bookmarks for the Hot Wheels website.

When you’re not found in front of a computer you are…

Biking or going up to Maine to visit my friends and family!

What was the last great book you read?

Song of Solomon by Tony Morrison, a truly fantastically written book with great characters that play off each other incredibly well. the prose is engrossing almost to the point where it distracts from the story with how well written it is, and that’s always what I look for in a book.

What is something unique about you?

I was nearly a published author at age 8.

What would you do if you had an extra 5 hours every week?

Try to spend every second of it outside, just sitting in the sun and soaking up the world.

What are you most frequently heard listening to?

Absolutely everything. I have tried to keep my music as varied as possible and have found some real gems that I bounce betweek constantly. Most recently I have had Jeff Rosenstock, the Oh Hellos, and Bruno Pernades on almost every day.
